Holly & Ryan at Westbourne Kingdom Hall Ipswich

A few weeks ago at the end of January I had the pleasure and privilege of photographing Holly & Ryan's Ipswich Wedding. Photos are now online and available for viewing and ordering.

The day started with photography at the bride's home, followed by a Wedding Talk and Ceremony at the Knightsdale Road Westbourne Kingdom Hall, Ipswich with a huge number of friends and family in attendance.

Immediate family then traveled to Chantry Park Ipswich for more group photos and a brief and very cold on-location photo shoot of the bride and groom! (It snowed the next day)

Finally everyone arrived at the Ipswich Westbourne Sports College / Sports Centre where the wedding reception was to be held. Friends and family had put in much hard work in order to decorate the place beautifully.

It was a really wonderful day, and a pleasure to be a part of. Both I and assistant/second photographer Sam Day really enjoyed shooting this Ipswich Wedding.

Barrow Bay, Derwent Water, Cumbria, Lake District

Barrow Bay, Derwent Water, Cumbria, Lake District, by DaveBulow

Recently I posted a couple of Lake District photos. Landscape photography is something I haven't done a huge amount of recently, but I do have a few slightly older ones to share, too. Some were shot digital, some on film.

Today's photo is one taken at a small bay on the Derwent Water. Photos from this particular spot are always nice, but I wanted to bring out the choppiness of the water early in the morning. Back then I had a medium format Bronica SQ-A with the widest available lens, the 40mm. This is the result, after a little digital post-production.

Technical Details:
Bronica SQ-A + PS 40mm f/4, 8 sec @ f/11. Fuji Reala 100 film (120). Tripod. Selective burn and dodge layers and toning in Photoshop.
